City Council members are set to consider a proposal for an ordinance regulating short-term rentals in Houston, an issue some residents believe is urgently needed to address troublesome properties. Last year, KHOU 11 spoke with residents in the Tanglewood area who said units in their townhome complex started to host short-term rental guests. Disturbing behavior, like sex on balconies and gunfire, soon followed. The issue prompted city leaders to look into regulating short-term rentals — or STRs.
