Galveston Beach Patrol Chief Peter Davis has been placed under unpaid administrative leave while an investigation is underway. Davis is being investigated after claims were made that he allowed visiting lifeguards from the National Chilean Lifeguard Federation to stay overnight in the Stewart Beach Pavillion, according to the Galveston Park Board. The Stewart Beach Pavillion was closed to the public at the time Davis allegedly let the lifeguards stay there.
