A man has been charged with murder after his wife was found dead in her home in the Oak Forest Manor community during a welfare check Wednesday morning, according to court documents. Houston police said the woman's body was discovered around 7:45 a.m. at her home on Emma Forest Street near Pinemont Drive. Her husband, 34-year-old Chance Zane Chavez, is accused of beating her to death with blunt objects, court documents say.
