The family and friends of 19-year-old Payas Deo gathered for a candlelight vigil to honor his life after authorities discovered the University of Houston Clear Lake student shot to death in Southeast Houston earlier this month. Deo's body was found on March 1 in a field in Southeast Harris County, weeks after he went missing on February 8. The Harris County Medical Examiner has ruled his death a homicide.
