A police officer was shot Tuesday morning while responding to a home invasion in the Spring Branch area, according to the Houston Police Department. The officer was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Houston police said the officer remains in serious condition. This happened at 9:40 a.m. on Alderney Drive near Antoine Drive just north of the Katy Freeway. This is near the IKEA store along I-10.
