Description
Multiple people called 911 on March 25 to report that a person had fallen into the Bull Run River and had been swept downstream toward the confluence with the Sandy River. Multiple agencies responded, but search efforts were suspended over safety concerns due to low visibility, powerful currents and frigid water temperatures.
On March 30, deputies with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and Clackamas Fire personnel recovered the body of 27-year-old Kaleb Rethwisch from the Sandy River where it meets Bull River Run.
