You may remember an hours-long pileup Saturday on I-5 and I-405 due to a man in apparent crisis on the edge of Marquam Bridge. While police tried to talk to him, that doesn't seem to have worked. Instead, he was finally allowed to walk away after about 10 hours — with no intervention after he got down.
