Description
A U.S. Coast Guard crew from Air Station North Bend rescued a man and his three children on Dec. 28 from a remote area in the South Slough National Estuary near Charleston, Oregon. The man called 911 and reported to the Coos County Sheriff's Office that they were lost in the forest, the coast guard said. An aircrew found the family around 8 p.m. and flew them back to the air station.
