Nov. 27 on The Story: Years after experiencing a traumatic event, Monica Dodge reached the depths of despair. She started having panic attacks, she couldn't do her job anymore, and she became suicidal. But her husband, having gone through something similar, was able to introduce her to something that would change everything — horses. Through a nonprofit called Horses of Hope, Dodge gradually got better. She credits the group with saving her life. Now she's the executive director of the nonprofit, and she happily provides the same chance at recovery that she received to others in similar circumstances.
