During a Republican legislative walkout in 2019, Sen. Brian Boquist told Pat Dooris that Oregon State Police should "send bachelors and come heavily armed" if they intended to take him back to the Senate chambers for votes. A legislative committee placed restrictions on him for the comments. But a federal judge has now ruled that the committee was not justified in doing so.
