In May, there were no registered candidates for a Hubbard Rural Fire Protection District board seat. When the dust settled after the election, former President Donald Trump was one of five people who received precisely two write-in votes for the Hubbard Rural Fire Protection District. Then it came down the roll of a 12-sided die.
