Description
The homeowner of the house where the car crashed had surveillance footage of the crash and the apprehension of the suspect. The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) shared the video with KGW.
According to WCSO, deputies tried to make a traffic stop of the driver of a Subaru Outback on Saturday at 1 a.m. near Southwest 185th Avenue and Tualatin Valley Highway in Aloha. Deputies had watched the driver of the car almost crash into two other cars, both of which had to swerve to avoid the crash.
The driver of the Outback sped off, leading police on a chase, which ended shortly when the driver took a turn at Southwest 196th Avenue and Rosa Road too fast and smashed into a fence.
The suspect, 24-year-old Jeobani Reyes-Soriano, got out of the car on the passenger side and tried to run from police on foot. He was quickly apprehended and arrest by deputies.
Three other people in the suspect's car cooperated with the investigation. One was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, WCSO reported. The car was stolen, WCSO deputies learned.
Reyes-Soriano was also taken to the hospital and then lodged at the Washington County jail after he was cleared by doctors. He faces the following charges: assault on a public safety officer; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; resisting arrest; attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle; reckless driving; 3 counts of recklessly endangering; 6 counts of first-degree fail to appear; second-degree fail to appear; and a Oregon State Parole Board warrant.
