Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard spoke to the media at his annual basketball camp in Beaverton, Oregon on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Lillard spoke about his basketball camp and why it means so much to him to connect with the kids at his camp. He also spoke about the abdominal injury he played through for four seasons -- he said there were times after games where the swelling would be like the size of a baseball -- and his recovery from abdominal surgery in January. Lillard said he's fully healthy and has never felt so strong. He said the time off from basketball while he was recovering from the surgery was good for him physically, mentally and emotionally.
