Description
Jonathan Luczycki is a fine artist who paints for a living.
"I mean I've painted almost every day since I was about 3 years old and I'm going on 42," he said.
Today he's painting with his mother, Carol Luczycki, on the beach at Pacific City. Both of them are looking to the beach to be their muse.
For Carol, the beach is also her medium. She's painting on sand dollars collected by her friends — now her chosen canvas.
"They're just so fun to do," Carol said. "You know. I like to paint small, and I like to do scenes of Oregon."
To the Luczyckis, painting together is an inspiration.
"Just a fun thing we get to share to do with each other," said Jonathan.
"Oh yeah," Carol agreed, "it's wonderful to get to paint together. It's a real gift."
