Loren Williams from Publisher's Clearing House (PCH) was in town to award a prize to one lucky Vancouver, Wash. recipient — Les Schreiber. He had the choice of a new pickup truck or cash, and he chose the cash, $54,869. Schreiber mentioned that some would go towards his mortgage and some to his son. Williams said that she'd worked for PCH for about a year and she thought this was her sixteenth prize that she'd given out. She still gets a little nervous every time — she doesn't want to blow the surprise by being seen ahead of time, or have a neighbor see the balloons and think it's for them!
