French President Emmanuel Macron is due to make a state visit to Madagascar on 23 April and will attend the fifth summit of the Indian Ocean Commission the following day.
To welcome him, the capital Antananarivo is getting ready, and some 300 municipal employees have been mobilised to clean up the city.
