Police from multiple agencies are cracking on speeders in the Floyd Hill construction zone on Interstate 70 near Idaho Springs. That construction zone has a 45 mph speed limit, but law enforcement officers say few drivers are following those posted limits. “We’ve had people doing upwards of 70 to 80 miles per hour through this construction zone and that is a major public safety issue,” Sergeant Nick Aab said . “If I were to sit there, I could do it all day for my 10-hour shift and it would be the same thing.”
