Description
A growing number of patients are seeking care at UCHealth after accidentally applying nail or lash glue to their eyes, mistaking the adhesive for eye drops. Doctors warn that these mix-ups, while not typically causing permanent damage, can be painful and require medical attention to remove the hardened glue.
The mishap gained attention in November 2024 when a TikTok user shared her experience, explaining that she had grabbed a bottle of nail glue instead of eye drops. The viral video, which has been shared more than 41,000 times, shows the user's eye being irrigated by a medical device.
