The Boulder Police Department on Thursday afternoon announced an arrest in the 2024 murder of Zaria Hardee. Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said the department had been working on the case since July. On July 14, police received a call about an abandoned bike trailer on Goss Street near Canyon Boulevard and 18th Street. When detectives arrived, they found Hardee's body wrapped in multiple layers on the trailer. Detective Cmdr. Brannon Winn said police believed her body had been on the trailer for several days and that she was unhoused and living on the streets of Boulder at the time of her death.
