Excitement is building about the possibility of a National Women's Soccer League team in Denver. On Tuesday, The Athletic reported that the NWSL is in the final stages of adding Denver as the league’s 16th team. Lindsay Jeans, who played soccer at Evergreen High School and now plays for Colorado School of Mines, told 9NEWS that bringing a women's professional soccer team to Colorado is exciting. "It's incredible to see the growth in the sport and to see how many people are getting excited about it. Not just women. Not just men. Everyone is investing in women’s sports," Jeans said.
