Description
We've got a burst of snow that'll move through the Denver metro area this morning between 6-10 a.m., potentially putting down a slushy few inches of accumulation before it mostly dissipates by about noon.
A Winter Weather Advisory is up for the Denver area through 2 p.m., though the heaviest snow will probably fall before 10 a.m. Clouds and light snow continue into the early afternoon before partial clearing later this afternoon. Highs will be stuck in the mid-30s today, nearly 15 degrees below average.
In the mountains, snow will finally come to an end later this morning, but not before a few more inches of snowfall. Totals there will likely approach 2-3 feet in spot, especially in our central mountains where the heaviest snow has mostly fallen from this storm.
Tonight will be very cold, with lows dropping into the single digits and below zero in the high country and into the teens across most of Eastern Colorado. Coupled with some melting from today's snow, we'll likely wake up to an icy Thanksgiving across the metro area, so be extra careful for any turkey trots!
