A 17-year-old boy has died after he was shot in the parking lot of a northeast Denver park Sunday evening, the Denver Police Department said. Police said the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Lisbon Park on Kirk Street in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. The victim, 17-year-old Edwin Sanchez, and a friend were in the parking lot of the park when an unknown person approached and shot Sanchez, police said. Sanchez died of his injuries Tuesday.
