A woman is facing charges in connection with a crash that killed an off-duty deputy last year in Weld County, prosecutors said. 31-year-old Joshua Maloy, an Adams County sheriff's deputy, was killed in the crash the evening of Dec. 24 on Weld County Road 49 south of Weld County Road 40, about 11 miles east of Gilcrest. The Colorado State Patrol said at the time that a driver crossed the centerline and hit Maloy's vehicle head-on.
