A woman who had been asked "multiple times" to leave a Boulder store stabbed an officer who responded there for a trespassing call late Wednesday, according to an arrest affidavit. Employees at Lucky's Market at 3960 Broadway called the police around 8 p.m. Wednesday after the woman, later identified as Patricia Murphy, refused to leave. When two Boulder Police officers arrived, they observed Murphy being verbally aggressive. After an officer told her she needed to leave, Murphy grabbed a knife from her back pocket and stabbed the officer in his upper left shoulder, the affidavit says. The officer is expected to be OK, Boulder Police said. After stabbing the officer, Murphy lunged toward the other responding officer with the knife. She hit that officer's radio with the knife and the officer was not hurt, according to the affidavit. One officer then grabbed Murphy from behind, but she lunged again toward the other officer. Both of the officers then retreated while continuing to give Murphy commands, the affidavit says.
