The bill would impose an 11% excise tax on dealers, manufacturers and ammo vendors on monthly sales over $2,000. The bill is in its first committee meeting right now. It would need to first pass the state legislature and then be approved by voters in November. The majority of the money collected would fund services for crime victims.
