Description
Johnston has said that Denver is short $180 million this year due to its efforts to pay for the migrant crisis. The city has already started implementing a series of budget cuts that could hit every single department in Denver.
Earlier this month, Johnston publicly announced $5 million in cuts from the Division of Motor Vehicles and Denver Parks and Recreation. Other departments said discussed cutting their 2024 budgets, including the Denver District Attorney's Office, the Department of General Services and the Department of Human Services.
