Tampa police are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash Thursday night. Officers responded just after 9 p.m. to W Waters Avenue at N Oregon Avenue. Police said a man was trying to run across the road when he was hit by a Jeep. The driver remained at the scene. Responders performed life-saving measures before taking the man to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. W Waters Avenue is closed between N Dakota and N Orleans avenues while police investigate. Police are still working to find out what caused the crash.
