On your mark, get set, go! The Grand Prix kicks off Friday and if you're in the downtown St. Pete area, don't be surprised if you hear the roar of engines. It's one of the biggest events of the year in downtown St. Pete, expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to watch in the area around Albert Whitted Park and the Duke Energy Centers for the Arts. From tickets to parking, here's everything you need to know for the event: Schedule of events before the race Grand Prix Flag Raising 10 a.m. Thursday at City Hall INDYCAR Party in the Park 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at North Straub Park 5K Run and Walk 5 p.m. Thursday at North Straub Park Tickets Tickets are available on their website and range from $30 to $165 depending on where you sit and how many days you go. The cheapest option is for the Friday general admission ticket. The general admission tickets don't include a reserved seat. The tickets to be up on the grandstand start at $105 for one day. General admission passes: Friday: $40 Saturday: $45 Sunday $65 3-day: $75 Grandstand 1-day in the lower rows: $105 3-day in the lower rows: $135 1-day in the upper rows: $130 3-day in the upper rows: $165 There are also three additional passes for purchase but two of them are sold out. You can view those here. Parking Parking will be available for #30 a day at Tropicana Field in lots 6 and 7 with a free shuttle service to the race course. The shuttle will run from: Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The SouthCore parking garage will also be open for parking at a rate of $25 per day. Road closures 6th Ave. S, 5th Ave. S, 4th Ave. S, and 2nd Ave. S of 2nd St. will all be closed. 1st Ave. S and Central Ave. SE of 1st Street will be closed. Bayshore Drive south of 2nd Ave. NE will be closed except for traffic accessing Demens Landing.
