A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead and another man was found injured following a shooting Sunday night in Plant City. The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. on East Warren Street near East Ohio Street, the Plant City Police Department said in a news release. Officers responding to the scene reportedly found a man dead inside a car and another man suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm. The injured man was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, police said. Police Chief Richard Mills said his department is "working tirelessly" to determine what led up to the deadly shooting. "We are also keeping the victim's family in our thoughts during this difficult time," Mills stated in the release. At this time, investigators are urging residents in the area to check their security cameras for any footage that may be related to the shooting.
