A homicide investigation is underway in Tampa after a teen boy was shot and killed Wednesday evening. It happened just after 6 p.m. on North Hillsborough Lane, according to the Tampa Police Department. Officers responded to reports of someone shot and found the victim, who is in his mid-teens, with upper body trauma. He was taken to a hospital where he later died. While it's still early on in the investigation, police say the people involved in the shooting may know each other.
