Description
Florida's largest school district is preparing a list of concerns for Florida lawmakers. There's concern about teacher pay and transportation costs, and this year, there's fear about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents showing up at school.
Hillsborough County Board Chair Jessica Vaughn said the district’s legislative platform is packed with issues such as a teacher shortage.
“We want to pay our teachers a livable wage, so making sure that we have adequate funding for all our students is always something that we on the board are always advocating for,” Vaughn said.
