One person is dead and five others were hospitalized, some with "traumatic" injuries after a boat exploded Monday night in a South Florida marina. It happened around 6 p.m. Monday at the Lauderdale Marina. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue said it responded to the marina after getting multiple 911 calls reporting the explosion and fire aboard a boat. When crews arrived, they said they found a "significant" fire involving one boat, which then quickly spread to another boat. Five people were taken to local hospitals for treatment, three of whom were suffering from "traumatic" injuries. A sixth person went missing in the water. After a lengthy search, the person was later found dead, according to fire rescue. Video captured by Earthcam and 15th Street Fisheries shows the moment the boat exploded, separating the top of the boat from the rest of it in a ball of fire before it slammed back down.
