Do you recognize this...Santa Claus? Florida Highway Patrol troopers are asking for help identifying the jolly ol' imposter who was spotted going 120 mph on a motorcycle Saturday night in Citrus County. It happened around 9 p.m. at County Road 486 and Brandywine Terrace. FHP Tampa posted dashcam footage that shows a trooper attempting to pull over a motorcyclist dressed in Santa's signature red suit with white fur. Troopers said he was weaving in and out of traffic in a "reckless manner." The trooper can be seen turning on their flashing lights behind the motorcycle while "Santa" signals a right turn. But instead of coming to a stop, the motorcyclist swerved through the pumps at a gas station and turned back onto the road before speeding off. Perhaps Santa was running late to deliver presents — or maybe someone was using his likeness to get away from law enforcement. Either way, if you recognize "ol' St. Nick," you're asked to call *FHP (*347) and report it. "The sleigh must be in the shop, but last night Mr. Claus didn't pause for any cause," FHP wrote.
