Description
Do you recognize this...Santa Claus?
Florida Highway Patrol troopers are asking for help identifying the jolly ol' imposter who was spotted going 120 mph on a motorcycle Saturday night in Citrus County.
It happened around 9 p.m. at County Road 486 and Brandywine Terrace.
FHP Tampa posted dashcam footage that shows a trooper attempting to pull over a motorcyclist dressed in Santa's signature red suit with white fur. Troopers said he was weaving in and out of traffic in a "reckless manner."
The trooper can be seen turning on their flashing lights behind the motorcycle while "Santa" signals a right turn. But instead of coming to a stop, the motorcyclist swerved through the pumps at a gas station and turned back onto the road before speeding off.
Perhaps Santa was running late to deliver presents — or maybe someone was using his likeness to get away from law enforcement. Either way, if you recognize "ol' St. Nick," you're asked to call *FHP (*347) and report it.
"The sleigh must be in the shop, but last night Mr. Claus didn't pause for any cause," FHP wrote.
Troopers said the motorcycle was white with blue trim.
