Tampa police have reopened the eastbound lanes of Hillsborough Avenue after a pedestrian was hit. A driver was making an eastbound turn on West Hillsborough Avenue when a pedestrian crossed outside the designated crosswalk around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the police department. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries while the driver remained at the scene.
