Tropical Storm Gordon has formed, the National Hurricane Center confirmed Friday afternoon. At this time, no coastal watches or warnings are in effect, but forecasters say the storm is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph and is expected to move more to the west this weekend and Monday, according to NHC. Maximum sustained winds for Tropical Storm Gordon have increased to 40 miles per hour with higher gusts, NHC said. A weakening trend for the storm is reportedly expected to begin this Saturday.
