The Lakeland Police Department is investigating after it says an officer shot at a suspect who rammed into police vehicles. Authorities say at around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers approached a vehicle in the parking lot of Village Plaza, located off U.S. Highway 98 near Sleepy Hill Road.
