Heavy afternoon downpours caused street flooding Friday afternoon in parts of South Tampa. The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory until 5:45 p.m. that warned of minor flooding in low-lying and other poor drainage areas. At least 2-3 inches of rain fell, and an additional 1-2 inches were possible, according to radar estimates.
