A child is dead and two people were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Auburndale, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said. The crash happened just after midnight Friday on 42nd Street NW. At least two vehicles were involved, but the agency said the exact number was not confirmed.
