Description
The driver of a PTSA Trolley who hit and seriously hurt a teen in downtown St. Petersburg has been criminally charged, the St. Petersburg Police Department said in a news release.
Chrishawn Rodgers, 55, was arrested and charged with reckless driving with serious bodily injury for her actions on Nov. 19, police said.
The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 19 on 1st Avenue South near 7th Street.
Additionally, Rodgers received the following traffic citations: red light violation, failure to change address, providing false information in a crash, and speeding too fast for an intersection.
Tammy Burch, the 15-year-old Gulfport girl, is still recovering from her critical injuries. Her father told 10 Tampa Bay that she still has several surgeries to go through, including one to reattach her skull as soon as some brain swelling goes down.
