A hurricane watch is in effect from Englewood to Indian Pass — this includes the Tampa Bay region. A storm surge watch is in effect for Chokoloskee to Indian Pass, Florida, including Tampa Bay. Tropical Storm Idalia has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and is located about 95 miles east-southeast of Cozumel, Mexico, according to the National Hurricane Center's latest advisory.
