Description
Tropical Depression Ten has formed near the southern Gulf of Mexico — and it won't be long before it becomes Tropical Storm Idalia and brings impacts to Florida.
The depression has maximum sustained winds of 30 mph and is located about 45 miles east-northeast of Cozumel, Mexico, according to the National Hurricane Center's latest advisory. Its movement is stationary.
Forecasters expect the storm to become reach Category 1 hurricane strength Tuesday evening.
