(STORYFUL) A donkey named Dora who fell into a sinkhole in Granville County, North Carolina, on Sunday, July 16, was rescued by firefighters who used special rigging system to lift the animal out, officials said.
This footage from the Raleigh Professional Fire Fighters Association (RPFFA) shows Dora, bound and harnessed, being hoisted from the pit by several crew members.
Animal control officers were first on the scene and were assisted by firefighters from Raleigh, the Wake Forest Fire Department (FD), and the Brassfield Volunteer Fire Department, the RPFFA said.
The donkey sustained no injuries, Wake Forest FD said.
