Description
"The students...are fighting for me", says Dijana Hrka, mother of Stefan, a young man who died on 1 November 2024 when a canopy collapsed in the railway station in Novi Sad, in Serbia. Six months after the tragedy which killed 16 people and ignited a massive protest movement, students are preparing to demonstrate again in front of the government in Belgrade, this time supported for the first time by several trade unions. Lawyer Ivan Ninic, who represents Dijana Hrka, condemns the ineffectiveness of the Public Prosecutor's Office in this case. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
