Bangladeshi labourer Mohammed Parvej recently received life-saving treatment for his multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. The 35-year-old is being treated at health centre in Dhaka but as it's funded by US aid its future is uncertain.
The $48 million snap aid cut by US President Donald Trump's government has left Bangladesh reeling, with health workers warning it could rapidly unravel years of hard work and cause huge numbers of preventable deaths. "USAID was everywhere in the health sector," says Nurjahan Begum, a health adviser to the interim government. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
