The European Commission has unveiled its plan to end Russian gas imports by the end of 2027, a difficult challenge given Europe's continued dependence on Russian gas. "We will definitely in the future diversify our portfolio of countries that supply us with gas because we don't want to change one dependency to another dependency," says European Commissioner for Energy Dan Jorgensen, mentioning Norway, the United States, Canada, Qatar and North Africa.
