Description
Life in Colombia's largest migrant camp is growing harder due to US aid cuts under Donald Trump. In a medical center in the Guajira desert, women with babies wait for care. Since Trump took office, La Pista's 10,000–15,000 residents have felt the impact of reduced USAID support. Trump, with cost-cutting ally Elon Musk, argues US funds should prioritize Americans. Luz Marina, a 40-year-old with an underweight son, sees the effects firsthand.
"It makes me very sad, too sad, because it was something I really needed," she says in the medical center's waiting room. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
