Peruvians gather at cathedral of Chiclayo to celebrate election of newly elected Pope Leo XIV who spent nearly two decades in northern Peru. US-born pontiff Robert Prevost joined the Augustinian order in Peru in 1985 and obtained Peruvian nationality in 2015.
