Despite cold and rain, thousands of supporters gather in El Alto to support the candidacy of Senate President Andronico Rodriguez, who announced his intention to run for president of Bolivia. His announcement is made as his mentor-turned-rival Evo Morales hosts a similar event in his political stronghold in the Chapare region, and current president Luis Arce cancels a gathering for the following day in El Alto.
