A federal lawsuit claims two popular gaming platforms failed to protect a young girl in Galveston County. The lawsuit claims the girl was sexually assaulted by someone she met on those platforms. Attorneys representing the family claim the attack happened in the fall of 2024 when the victim was 13. The 101-page lawsuit claims the girl was groomed over two or three years while using online gaming site Roblox and Discord. They said the attacker snuck into her room and recorded himself sexually assaulting the teen.
