Description
The Texas Education Agency has released its long-awaited 2023 accountability ratings, and Houston ISD earned an overall grade of “C,” with a score of 72 out of 100.
The ratings, made public Thursday after a two-year legal delay, reflect student performance during the 2022–2023 school year and are the first full accountability ratings issued by the TEA since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Houston ISD serves more than 189,000 students across 272 campuses.
